Arsenal of Woo

In vino veritas means, in wine there is truth - a phrase often credited to the Greek poet Alcaeus. A lesser known fact about Alcaeus is that he was quite the ladies man. Was it his ground-breaking approach to the grape that bulked up his arsenal of woo? Or maybe the fact he was one of the more prolific poets to grace ancient Greece? One fact I do know about ol' Alcaeus is he most certainly laid a foundation that many men should still follow today.

What we can learn from Alcaeus is that he listened. He noticed that when women drank the fruits of the earth (not talking about just apple juice here fellas) they were more forthcoming with their emotion.

Looking to woo the object of your affection? All you need is a date that showcases your ability to listen to what she likes and integrates a bit of the vino. Below I've devised a list of potential dates geared toward different types of women.

Artsy and Creative -
Wired and Fired in the Highlands. They allow you to bring in your own bottle(s) of wine to sip on while you paint your pottery. They even provide corkscrew and glasses. Select an item and paint it together - as you do your best Andy Warhol you can have plenty of conversation while you sip and dip.

Close and Quirky - The
Starlight Drive-In off Moreland Ave has been an Atlanta landmark since the 1950's. Retro-ride your way to milkshakes and make-out sessions. Pack a picnic basket and a blanket to catch the double-feature any night of the week. For $7 bucks a person you can create an incredibly memorable date with your favorite fixins’ & trimmins’

Sporty and Fun
Braves Chop House at Turner Field. Grab a couple $5 dollar Braves tix, hop on a Marta train and head down to the Ted. Get there early enough to secure some prime real-estate in the outfield bar pavilion. You’ll be amongst several other fun lovers and you two can bond over the camaraderie of the game.
