Every time a holiday rolls around, Atlantans turn out in droves to participate in the plentiful celebrations abound the city. I stumbled across this nicely compiled list of Halloween festivities this month from The Weekly Scene.

Friday and Saturday, October 16 & 17 is Little 5 Points 9th Annual Halloween Festival and Parade at Euclid and Colquitte street. Friday 6:00 – 10:00. Saturday Noon – 10:00. A punk rock band performing on Friday with a classic horror movie screening at 8:00. Parade starts at 4:00 PM with live music until 10:00 PM.
Saturday, October 17 is The Little 5 Points Halloween Parade After Party at Star Bar. No cover and DJ all day and night.
Wednesday, October 28 is the Halloween Extravaganza! at Opera.The doors open at 9:00 and the cost is $24. Opera will be transformed into a haunted world with lights, a DJ, and other music. This event is 18+.
Friday, October 30 is The Halloween Blackout Blowout at Grand Hyatt in Buckhead. Tickets are $10 with a special room rate available. Featuring DJ Swoosh.
Saturday, October 31 is the Brouhaha Spooktacular at the Masquerade for $16. There will be live music, DJ’s, psychic readings, and a $1000 costume contest.
Saturday, October 31 is Scary Party 9 at Twisted Taco. The event is $10 in advance, $30 at the door. Part of 12th Street will be blocked off for a multi-block party and a Michael Jackson tribute band from 8-11. Other bands and DJs featured later. Also, take part in a $1000 costume contest.
Saturday, October 31 is Dead Sexy Halloween at East Andrews. The event starts at 7:00 and is $10 in advance. There will be a DJ in the courtyard, The Breakfast Club (80’s cover) inside, two for one entry before 9:00, a costume contest and some Halloween drink specials.
Saturday, October 31 is a Halloween Party at Fado Irish Pub. The event is $5, $500 and two round trip tickets on Airtran prize for best costume, and a DJ.
