Its World Cup Time Baby! Best places to watch in #Atlanta

Soccer is the most popular sport on Earth (except here in the states, which will forever befuddle me), but every four years the US gets a little futbol fever and I can't get enough of it. There also happens to be a plethora of fantastic options for viewing games here in the Atlanta area. But before we get to that, check out this Nike Football video to get amped up for what is to come.

Biggg shouty to UrbanDaddy Atlanta for putting together most of this phenom list. I had to throw some of my favorites on there too.

Pub 71
Pub 71 in Brookhaven is offering an International Menu during the Cup, highlighting food from the top qualifying countries. Pub will be opening at 9:30 AM for all 10 AM matches and replaying all 7:30 AM matches at noon. Warsteiner boots will be available for purchase. Dassss boot!
Jun 11-Jul 11, Pub 71, 4058 Peachtree Rd, 404-467-8271

The Nook
Home of the famed totchos. Register for The Nook Passport and you can earn points for things like watching certain games, wearing a team jersey and ordering a particular Totcho and the top point getters at the end of World Cup will win prizes packages worth hundreds of dollars. $3.50 pints of Guinness for ALL of World Cup and $3.00 "Shots on Goal" made with Bacardi Torch Cherry and Whynatte (tastes like a chocolate/espresso covered cherry).
Jun 11-Jul 11, The Nook, 1144 Piedmont Avenue, NE, 404-745-9222

Fado
Of course you can't leave out Fado, given it's one of US Soccer's official World Cup bars nationwide. Andddd of course having been my destination of choice for all of my soccer watching forays including the last world cup, I can vouch that atmosphere here is electric. Better come early though, die-hards love to gather here. Bring your crash helmet. This Saturday, June 12, get ready for a day long party for the much anticipated England vs USA match up. Pub opens at 7:30 AM for the first of 3 World Cup matches. England vs. USA kicks off at 2.30 PM Party goes all night with live DJ at 10 PM spinning the best in Brit Pop, 90s and today’s favorites.
Jun 11-Jul 11, Fado, 273 Buckhead Ave, 404-841-0066

UrbanDaddy's List (note: content below was written by UD)
10 Degrees South
If you know in your heart that Bafana will beat Mexico in Match 1 of the Cup, stop by 10 Degrees South (the city's only authentic South African restaurant), where they'll be having a kickoff party tomorrow night at 8pm and broadcasting matches throughout the month. Like Invictus for soccer.
Jun 11-Jul 11, 5:30-10:30pm, 10 Degrees South, 4183 Roswell Rd NE, 404-705-8870

P'Cheen
For gadding about with the city's UK transplants (and a favorable bird-to-bloke ratio), your presence is requested in front of P'cheen's massive projector screen for England vs. USA and some Guinness Battered Fish n Chips. We should tell you that the owner is also a UK native, so try to hold your tongue until after ordering.
Jun 11-Jul 11, 10am-late, P'cheen, 701-5 Highland Ave NE, 404-529-8800

Fritti
You already know Fritti for its authentic Neapolitan pies and equally authentic Neapolitan brunettes. But for the next month, you can catch Team Italia on the patio's HD projector with buckets of Peroni and plenty of excuses to yell "Goal!" in Italian. Say it with us: "Segnareee..."
Jun 11-Jul 11, Mon-Thu 11:30am-11pm, Fri-Sat 11:30am-midnight (call for game day hours), Fritti, 309 N Highland Ave, 404-880-9559

Loca Luna
Loca Luna will be blasting 34 games on their big screens throughout the tournament, with generously flowing caipirinhas and plenty of opportunities between matches to perfect your merengue moves on the dance floor. Team Brazil would want it that way.
Jun 11-Jul 11, 10am-late on game days, Loca Luna, 550 Amsterdam Ave NE, 404-875-4494

Brewhouse Cafe
True World Cupping is not to be taken lightly. And if that means starting your day at 7:30am with an ice-cold Weissbier and an omelet chaser, so be it. The Brewhouse will be broadcasting all 64 games with some live music, DJs and overflowing beer gardens thrown in for good measure. Don't even try keeping up with the Germans.
Jun 11-Jul 11, 7:30am (for early games), Brewhouse Cafe, 401 Moreland Ave NE, 404-525-7799
