AFOMFT Review: Buckhead Bottle Bar

There is a brand-new bar/resto on the age-old block at the corner of E. Paces Ferry Rd and Bolling Way.    This all-day neighborhood restaurant and cocktail house opened in late June and is the result of an ADI Restaurant Concepts (A.D. Allushi & Chef Ian Winslade)/Zaza Pachulia (Go Hawks!) partnership. Buckhead Bottle Bar is open for lunch, dinner and brunch on the weekends.

I feel excited about this Buckhead addition. The decor is fun (walls made of multi-colored bottles that change colors), the atmosphere is not overtly stuffy (typical of most Buckhead establishments) and the food was really very good. The menu is upscale bar favorites with seasonal dishes. For an appetizer I ordered the Crab and Cheese fritters with Toasted Pecan dipping sauce. Very nice flavors and nicely executed.

My main course was the Roasted Chicken with Mashed Potatoes and consisted of a light-meat breast and a dark-meat breast atop an island of creamy mashed potatoes sitting in a pond of the most buttery, delectable gravy I've ever had at a restaurant. This dish had so much flavor without going overboard, it was one of the best chicken dishes I've had in a long time. It is so easy for chicken to be boring!

Dessert was stunning as well (I can't believe I even had room after eating an entire chicken coop). I ordered Great Grandma Hattie's Sticky Toffee Pudding and my friend ordered the Black and Tan Cheesecake with a Five Nut Crust and a beer sorbet. Buckhead Bottle Bar has found a repeat customer out of me. Oh and for all you ScoutMobers out there, BBB is on the list at 50% off!
